The SWITCH is a hybrid brewer that enables Hario’s revered V60 Pourover architecture to also function as a filtered immersion brewer. A ball bearing set inside the silicone base can be switched “on” to plug the spout of the ceramic cone allowing your coffee to brew like a French Press, and then “off” to allow your coffee to drain through a standard 02 sized V60 Pourover filter. The result is a brewing experience that draws on the best of both worlds and removes their biggest drawbacks: the clarity and precision of a Pourover without the required technique and equipment, and the simplicity and consistency of a French press without the mess.
Hario's ceramic drippers are made from Arita-yaki, a historically renowned style of porcelain first developed in Arita, Japan in the early 1600s. Each dripper is handmade, creating a stunning contrast between the traditional and the modern.
