“This offering from the renowned Kayon Mountain Farm in the Guji Zone of Ethiopia first came to our cupping table as part of a collaboration with Counterpoint Coffee in Seaside, CA. We were looking for an exceptional, high value Ethiopian offering to put on Counterpoint’s bar across all brew methods; an exclusive and singular offering to set their bar apart from all others in the area.
This is the coffee we landed on and served for 4 months. We’ve since switched to more recent crops of other African coffees, but this coffee was too delicious, special, and popular to wait for the 2026 Ethiopia harvest season to get it back. So we purchased another partial lot from Kayon Mountain Farm to keep around.
Expect huge florals, blue and purple fruit, a creamy and full body with a gentle but present acidity. And as always, enjoy.
